| Info: | Eric van Wonterghem is one of the most prolific and influential artists in Europe’s industrial rhythmic noise and EBM scene. Initially releasing a kind of ‘proto EBM’ as 'Absolute Body Control' (with Dirk Ivens) in 1981. Eric & Dirk a few years later would both go on to form legendary 'The Klinik'. Eric left Klinik after the 2nd album to form INSEKT (on KK Records) and a few years later Monolith, a project that was a departure from his EBM signature and heading into the industrial rhythmic noise territory (just as on another one of Eric’s project with Dirk Ivens: Sonar). In the early 2000′s a very tight bond was formed between Eric and Sonic Groove’s Adam X, who highlighted Monolith’s cult classic 'Disco Buddah' on the sampler ‘Europa power electron industries' in 2004. With a big interest in industrial in the techno scene in recent years it is more then fitting that Monolith finally debut’s in the techno scene with a proper release on Sonic Groove! | |
