Info:

Album title and Cover design might remind you of a famous Electro band’s first ‘Best of’ released in 1985 in the U.S….
KLACK is the "New New Beat" project of U.S. musicians Eric Oehler (CAUSTIC) & Matt Fanale (NULL DEVICE). KLACK released “Synthesizer” as a one-off collaboration in 2017, receiving significant acclaim and fanfare amongst fans of early EBM and New Beat, and also from the Berlin techno community. KLACK went to work and two months later released their debut EP “Do You Klack?” to even more acclaim. The duo quietly worked on follow up, “Introducing the 1984 Renault LeCar'” EP, which was released in January 2019, receiving positive reviews in Resident Advisor and topping several Bandcamp charts.  KLACK's first live performances also started that year, playing festivals all over North America.  The end of 2019 brought KLACK's third EP, “2800bps 8-N-1”, as well as their DJ-only club EP “Everybody Must Klack” reaching number 1 on the DAC, staying on the charts for 8 weeks. “Catching up with KLACK” is a compilation of KLACK's first three EPs, fully remastered and including the previously unreleased track “The Goddess”. Rob McCallum in DJ Mag stated "KLACK sound as if they could have been recording in the '80s without sounding remotely pastiche." (3/14/18, "The Unstoppable Influence of EBM"), and Bandcamp's Andi Harriman wrote that KLACK is "a project that almost too convincingly recreates the oomph of new beat, the late 1980s Belgian dance movement." ("Detriti Records Keeps the Flame of Classic Post-Punk").
