The untitled debut album “El Corte“ was released in 1986 and is composed by a handful of sinister and well thought out songs - ull of strange premonitions and dark and apocalyptic meditations. This album was recorded in one night at a SEGBA plant, an electrical company in Buenos Aires, taking advantage of its “natural acoustic chamber” (that gives it a decisely claustrophobic sound). The album features a crude and improvised sound, sonic climates and ambient noises. Never before and after, an album so raw and at the same time so masterful has been heard in the local scene. A true and timeless masterpiece!!!

After the recent – and highly successful – re-release of EUROSHIMA on Twilight, here come 2 re-prints of long deleted albums by a highly regarded 80s cult act. EL CORTE was one of the most important bands from the 80s scene in Argentina.  Formed in 1986, with only two albums they managed to establish themselves quickly as real cult band. They were part of the post punk / dark scene along with other bands such as Euroshima, La Sobrecarga, Los Pillos, etc. But EL CORTE besides an incredible talent, they also showed a big amount of great creativity. These two works were released trought a major company on Vinyl only in the 80s and sold out fast. None of them has EVER been released on CD format until today! Both albums have been carefully remastered and are limited editions of 300 copies each!
