| Info: | Eleven Pond formed in 1986, released one postpunk/synth pop/darkwave LP titled 'Bas Relief'and recorded songs for a second LP titled 'Assemblage'. The band breaks up in 1987, the masters were shelved. In 2009 the band’s songs were rediscovered by various DJs and both ‘Bas Relief’ and ‘Assemblage’ were (re-)released by Dark Entries (and later by ‘Other Voices’). The Album ‘Drive’ was released by the latest reincarnation of the American act – still featuring Original members Jeff Gallea and Garey Snider. Originally released as a 10-tracks Album in 2019 on CDr by the band itself, Young & Cold choose the best 8 tracks for this release on VINYL In 2020. The Vinyl comes with completely different cover-design to the original CDr. ‘Venus in Shells’ was originally released by Jeff’s other band ‘BLACK POND’ and is a re-interpretation of Velvet Underground’s famous ‘Venus in Furs’ track. |
